Still wanna try one though. and the paragon...feels like a hybrid of warrior ranger and monk...very interesting. i'd like to try a D/A and a P/Rt...

excited about the new classes and all.
The skins exluding armour look like re used monk skins and elem skins.
People are right about that.
I hope they go into better detail when it comes to customisation or we are going to have alot of clones walking about, maybe some more interesting hair styles hmmmmm.
2 new classes is a good thing, lets hope they work well as secondaries and mix well as secondaries.

Wow the 2 professions looks cool
I except the following from Chapter 3 and nothing else
1) Stronger PVE content and storyline than Factions
2) Level Cap raised atleast to 25 ( Skills and Caps are okay but the Cap level has to go up)
If the character has conquered 2 continents how can his freaking cap be at 20 when all monsters are at 24 and above
3) When I buy a chapter and buy a key it does not change the limit for changing servers from america to europe and vice versa ,before i bought factions i had only 1 left after faction its still the same

I don't understand why you want it raised, raising it will only wreck all the other chapters. You'll have some people on the other games at lvl 20 and people who have all 3 games running with 25 etc. It would unbalance the game.
Also what would you get from it? Everyone would get to lvl 25 very quickly and it would then be absolutely no different. PVE wise would just mean instead of lvl 30 bosses, lvl 35... It just makes no sense. Although I'd like some higher level bosses.

I'm most intrigued by the palagon myself for the aoe shouts. Could work brilliantly with warder for defending an area.

Anubis, Demi-god of death and burial, has the head of a jackal, black skin and the body of a man, personally my favourite ancient deity
I absolutely cant wait for the new chapter and i cant believe its coming so fast! It's important to remember that factions actually took twice as long as all the other expansions will, because the two dev-team system is only being put into effect now, so we can expect all the chapters to be this close together in the future!

For PvP play, don't most people have a PvP slot?
|
I am sure that they do if they are regular PvP'ers Gaile, but I would think that one of the concepts behind a PvP event is to lure more people from PvE into PvP. As a PvE player, I know that I don't have a PvP slot available and I will not be deleting one of my lvl 20 characters just to play a PvP event. Too much hard work gone into them! A temporary slot just for the event would be ideal, then people could try one of the new professions, play it to get an idea of how it works then delete it, and try the other one.
Hopefully that will be the case, and you will see lots of new people dipping a toe in the murky waters of PvP! Personally, I think that the Paragon sounds perfect for my Leroy tendencies.
When in doubt, charge! If it doesnt work - charge faster!
No doubt I will get flamed by the dedicated, but I think that PvP should be fun...

Warriors are the only tanks, bottom line. I think Dervishes will suffer the same hate as Assassins do.
Hopefully some of these tanking assassins will delete their characters, and make Dervishes... so the decent assassins can start the slow process of rebuilding our reputation.
|
I would laugh if the new chapter banned all chinese IPs and had no mesmers in the mobs. That would sure appeal to the masses, wouldn't it? Of course when everyone had their fill of 20/20 sundering mods and +30hp upgrades, they'd leave. lol

I'm betting that it will be something like Primal Rage.. forget about skills. And it'll be an elite enchantment. Or even better, an elite hex that only works on said foe. I'm feeling optimistic this morning, can you tell?

Arena Net should hire you, and let you release all your concept classes in the expansion. I wonder what people would think about THAT.

If the Dervish and the Paragon become hated classes, it will most likely be for the same reason.
Players who cant play.
|
I thought it was because the class is GIMPED in PvE to begin with. The very nature of relying on critical hits for energy and damage against high level mobs is a bit absurd. Critical hits need to be changed, (at least for assassins), before I'd consider making one for a PvE character.

I have so many more fond memories of Prophecies than I ever will have of Factions. Factions seems to have been rushed, the character classes of Rit and 'Sin not truly fully developed (can you say no hand-to-hand combat with the 'Sin?). No replayable high-end farming areas such as ToPK or SF. I don't accept elite missions as those; they take quite a while to do successfully and require a ferry to get to. Also, when Factions came out, it was extremely buggy...

Yeah, and so does mesmer. Who needs anything but Surge Builds. Oh yeah, and warrior too. I mean what could be better than a shock axe?
That's the REASON they're putting more classes into the game, so there aren't so many of these retarded vanilla builds.

GW would have an infinite player base if people could make their own items and armor like that. And if there was some way you could get Inuyasha naked in there, there'd be twice as many girls playing as guys.

Hey Gaile,
many of us who don't regularly do PvP have all our slots filled out, but would nonetheless like to try out the new professions as well, so one extra slot during the preview would be a nice addition.

No, they're not so much 'nerfs' as they are restradgeizing to keep you on your feet. And for the most pat, no one likes that besides the true players (me), who adjust as needed to keep on my feet. Everyone would rathe just say "Down big scary monster!" and say they played this easy game, when really it's meant to be a stradgey game as much as a role playing game.

Am I the only one that thinks GW is becoming saturated with professions now? I'm gonna miss the 6 Prophecies Professions. I still can't get used to assassins and ritualists and now NCSoft are developing more weird classes that there really isn't any need for. After all, the Dervish is a wammo which there are way too many of now. Sorry to bring down the tone but I don't want any more classes >_<
I understand that Guild Wars is a product of a business and there's money to be made though.
Anyway I think my time to end my Guild Wars life is nearing - not in a 'zomg i'm gonna rage-quit way'. Its just that quantity is beginning to exceed quality.
